Crash World is the Vancouver-based duo of Glen MacLeod and Graham MacDonald,
blending rock, blues, jazz, and folk into a sound that feels direct, musical,
and full of character. “Devil’s Right Hand” is their second single of 2026,
released May 29, and it moves through cold war and clandestine themes with the
confidence of a band that knows exactly where the song needs to go.
You know you’re in for a great song right from the beginning, when the
acoustic guitar comes in with a rock riff and the band accents it with tight
chord stabs. That opening gives the track its attitude immediately. The
acoustic guitar drives the verses, while the full-band accents give the riff
extra punch and movement.
The chorus brings a strong contrast, moving into a more legato, flowing feel
that gives the song room to breathe. The bridge then moves through closely
related tonal centers before leading back to the beginning of “Devil’s Right
Hand,” bringing the song full circle in a natural way. This is popular
verse/chorus structure done well: clear parts, effective contrast, strong
guitar work, and a vocal performance that keeps moving from start to finish.
